(Wangerriburra language) ©Luna Wood 2009 Spring Dreaming was welcomed in on the 8th of September with the first dark moon of the season and wildflowers blossoming throughout our Rainforest. The dance of the winged ones delighting amongst the flowerings, soaring through pathways of light in the crisp clear airways. The Ancestors connected to the Air Dreaming are gifting us this celebration as the seasons turn once more. The lightness of being is inspired by the cacophony of winged life going about their colorful business amongst the blossoms. New life is nestled in nests and pouches, and there is a bounce of movement over the land. Scented airways capture and share rememberings. Inspired surges impulse life. A promise of warmth as the sun lifts higher and shines more fully inviting the flowering to open more fully, inviting a frenzy of active pollination. As the Rainbow Dreaming tides us through the pathways of next 13 weeks of Spring (3 lunar cycles) and the celebration and honoring of the Air Way breathes forth, we have an opportunity to deepen and open our breath. Our Earth connection literally breathes through us. Our breath, being the connection to the Earth’s air systems, is our very life. What is the health and wellbeing of our air ways? Our forests reflect our lungs as we breathe together, sharing the same air, transforming stale air to fresh air and feeding our very breath and breathing life. This ancient cycling has evolved us through all our various stages of evolution, from reptilian to homo sapien, and is presently evolving with us. All air is breathed through all life on earth, we share the same breath. We need to honour this ancient wisdom. The winged animal Dreaming in the lightness of being on the wing of the Air ways offers us graceful medicine if we choose to connect. (Wangerriburra language) ©Luna Wood 2009 Summer Dreaming was welcomed in on the 6th December with the first dark moon of the season and water falling endlessly over our Rainforest. Lamington National Park is a key rainforest system, governing the rainfall of our region. The Ancestors connected to the Water Dreaming are gifting us this rain in response to the Sacred remembering and honouring being celebrated in a new way, here in Country. As the Rainbow Dreaming tides us through the pathways of next 13 weeks of Summer (3 lunar cycles) and the celebration and honouring of the Water Way flows forth, we have an opportunity to know our fluid body, our bloodsong. Our Ancestry connection literally flows through our veins. Our blood, being the connection to the Earth’s water systems, is the vascular system mirroring the river systems of our planet earth. What is the health and wellbeing of our water ways? The water falling around us now, is the same water that rained on this planet during the primordial ages when our landmasses had not yet formed. This ancient water has evolved with us through all our various stages of evolution, from reptilian to homo sapien, and is presently evolving with us. All water here today is recycled from the primordial womb, assisting us in our growth, replenishing life with every drop. We need to honour this ancient wisdom. The aquatic animal Dreaming monitoring the ebb and flow of the Water ways offers us graceful medicine if we choose to connect. With all the water of Summer, growth is profound in the plant beings. The Ancestors connected to the Earth Dreaming are gifting strong growth in response to the extremeness of the Water song of Summer here in Country. As the Rainbow Dreaming tides us through the pathways of next 13 weeks of Autumn (3 lunar cycles) and the celebration and honouring of the Earth Dreaming grounds and balances us, we have an opportunity to know our physical body, our heartsong embodied. Our earth connection becomes our flesh and bones. Our body, being the connection to the Earth, is the grounding of our Spirit and vehicle for our earth walk. What is the health and wellbeing of our Earth, our body? The Earth has sustained our growth and wellbeing since time began. The way we tend Her and our bodies is no longer careful or sustainable. How do we nurture and nourish ourselves and Her? Do we honour our food, the very flesh of the earth that nourishes us. Are we nourished and nurtured by our actions? We need to honour this ancient wisdom. We have to care more deeply for our land, for our flesh and bones. The 4 legged Animal Dreamings and the Plant Dreamings who lie close to the earth offers us graceful medicine if we choose to connect. What earth Dreamings in the form of our animals and plants, make themselves known to you this Autumn? Autumn time is harvest time, as we pick the fruits of our labors. The cold air welcoming the warming fire. Preparing spaces for the internal Dreamings of the long cold nights. The Ancestors connected to the Fire Dreaming are inviting us to go within and sit by the fire, sharing our stories and remember our way. As the Rainbow Dreaming tides us through the pathways of next 13 weeks of Winter (3 lunar cycles) and the celebration and honouring of the Fire Dreaming empassions and strengthens us, we have an opportunity to let go of what we no longer need. Our fire connection transforms us. As the fire burns away the fuel, it clears the path. This restoring gift returns us to our core. We Dream anew. Our Spirit inspires. We need to honour this ancient wisdom. This ancient land is kept alive and well with the burning ground, awakening the seeds, clearing the old. The Fire Dreaming strengthens and protects the core, creates the rocks and mountains and offers us graceful medicine if we choose to connect.
